NYC is one of the most transitional cities in the US, its always changing its character. But what are some NYC neighborhoods where you feel like you stepped into a time warp? like back to the early 2000s, 90s, 80s or even 70s. Neighborhoods that have a character n vibe that's still consistent with the old mid-late 20th century NYC.

Most of Marine Park in Brooklyn could pass as 80s era Brooklyn.

Flatlands Avenue Between Ralph and like Rockaway Parkway feels like it hasn't changed in decades.

Any neighborhood that has lots of American flags flying!
I noticed it in Windsor Terrace recently.

I feel like even in most of the non-gentrified neighborhoods, most of the stores have modern (but often tacky) looking signs that prevent an old school vibe
