Yes, I agree! @twoserious The communication was great - I've been applying through housing connect since 2014 & since then I've been on three interviews but this was the only interview where the people were friendly! You call or email and actually get a reply back @Aquafina the apartment was really nice & for a one br it was pretty spacious just absolutely beautiful!
@twoserious yea I emailed on lady as well and she said they were currently reviewing applications and when my log number was reached I'd be contacted. How do the log numbers work because I highly doubt they interviewed over 9,000 people since my log number was so high and I got an interview and you guys are in the 5,000's? I don't get it.
It's random though, so lets say they got 500 applications for 10 spots. The computer chooses 20 numbers 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,30,125,200,275,400,401,402,403,404,4 05,409,485,499. You could have #409 and get called because numbers 1-275 either have no income, no longer live in NYC, got married/had children, died, in jail, had resident issues in the past and got denied, no longer meet the income requirements, never responded or decided to pass on it, etc. They gotta go through those applications though. You just wouldn't know until you got the call or you didn't. Don't lose faith!
I just think getting shown the apartments is a good sign. But I didn't get shown anything yet =/ I'm dying to see!

I got called today and was approved by HPD. I will be signing my lease this Friday! I'm super excited it was definitely worth the wait!!! Good luck to you all <3
