Well I have zero sympathy for people who don't look into issues like that, so yeah you are totally pissing up the wrong tree when it comes to me.

Just seeing those units on the floor have always been a red flag to me.

Also, stop calling people "bub". Do you live in a 1940's animated cartoon!?

I've seen apartments with more conventional (to single family houses) central HVAC systems. Among other issues, they all require some sort of utility space. I remember one apartment out in Jersey that had a good sized utility room. This being NYC, every square food of space used for machinery (in an apartment) is a foot that can't be used as living space. And it's the latter that people pay for. The PTACs are, if anything space efficient.

And, yes, never again will you see a building built where a landlord puts themselves in the position of having to pay utilities for a tenant, unless they are required by law to do so.

I am negative at times, a lot of times, but I am always positive at times and balance it out. We're all just human.
