I like to sometimes take walks through the city(at one time I led groups), and I recently thought about the unusual Aqueduct Avenue in the Bronx, sort of a narrow park between two streets that was built above the old Croton Aqueduct. I remember the northern end (Kingsbridge Rd, Fordham Rd) from my childhood in the Kingsbridge area. However, I have serious doubts about its safety, especially the further south you get. When I looked up Aqueduct Avenue-Bronx, the first thing that popped up was a profile on some building with an Aqueduct Avenue address that had rampant drug dealing, prostitution and even a gambling casino in one of the apartments. Anyone care to fill me in on Aqueduct Avenue? Thanks!
