In my 72-unit building, we have the Super and one full-time assistant. The assistant does floors, lobby windows, sidewalks, trash, minor landscaping, etc. daily. The Super and assistant do snow removal together. Also, come wintertime, one can earn extra bucks walking around with a shovel offering to shovel out peoples' cars and sidewalks for cash. Additionally, the city hires temp shovelers to shovel out corners, fire plugs, and bus stops after big storms. Of course if you were a building assistant, you'd probably already be busy after a big storm.
