They won't give it up though. They believe if they can push it for a few more years that the demographics will be in their favor, since identity politics dictates how people will vote based on race. It's sickening to watch true racists dictate who and what racism is in this country.

They flap to us because they figure - as you do - that the uniform prevents us from responding. That may be the case with some officers, but not with me.

By the way, your hypothetical is absurd. Obama has been nothing if not the nation's #1 cop hater. He may control the Thought Police, but he doesn't have a shred of support amongst the real police. Good riddance!

Pence is arguably more conservative than Trump (although really...who knows? Trump is such a wildcard, who knows what he believes or what he'll do? He seems to change his mind every few weeks...).
But Pence is not less tolerant toward Jews than Trump.
And Paul Ryan is also not racist/anti-Semitic, nor are his supporters (unlike Trump's).

More importantly, both Pence and Ryan are sane and smart.
Trump is neither.

That's what terrifies me.

Your prejudiced buddies in the NYPD are not representative of all police officers, not even of NYC police officers. Much to the chagrin of people like you, Obama is going to end the presidency with an approval rating in the high 50s among the general population. That's the only support he really cares about.

The Democratic party itself has blown up in civil war, with no clear way forward. Identity politics failed. Black Americans did not come out for Hillary like they did for Obama, and Trump got more Black votes than Romney. He certainly got more Hispanic votes than Romney. And white women rejected Hillary.

None of the demographics that the Democrats favored voted the way they wanted. With Obama's era over, the novelty of the first minority President is FINISHED, and people aren't going to rush to support the next Ivy League young lawyer because of his race. Clearly they didn't rush to support another Ivy League lawyer because of her gender.

So really what do the Democrats have left? They have to appeal to working class votes, or they are screwed. Identity politics died a painful death.

I see this in academia now. I'm graduating, but any leftover affirmative action is dead. Already at the graduate level, for masters programs people pay in cash and/or take out loans (you have to pass a credit check). Already this debt is serviced by private companies, as Obama in the past few years partially privatized the student loan process by having all student loan debt serviced by private companies. Trump will take this one step further and have the banks originate the student loans. So basically in order to go the university in the future you will be paying in cash or have good credit as Trump has said the government should not be in the business of issuing debt, and he will get it out of it. So right there "leftist" academics will lose their funding, and students who go to college will be ones who think that they can get a return on their investment, or else there's really no reason to go. You do realize the left and identity politics were held together by government funding, which we all know Trump is going to devastate.

And yet as I told you, the electoral college certified Trump's win. Few electors voted against their states.

Did you support Obama? Do you consider him an anti-Semite?

Your whole argument falls apart when you realize that Hillary won the popular vote by nearly 3 million and that she lost the electoral college by losing PA, WI, and MI by a combined ~85 thousand votes.

And your last paragraph is wrong on multiple levels. In 2010, the Obama administration changed the hitherto practice of backing loans originated by private banks. The current practice is to lend directly to students, i.e., precisely the opposite of what you stated.

I couldn't care less what his approval ratings are. He's leaving, not being replaced by a democrat, and he failed to take away Americans 2nd Amendment Rights (as he has stated numerous times was his ultimate goal). Those three gifts are all that matter.

There's nothing that could possibly "chagrin" me, I'm on Cloud 9!
