Not always true. We just have to attain them by illegal means.

Non-liberals including centrists are very ostracized today, especially in online communities.

I hate doing it, but it seems necessary.

At one of my jobs my manager was an outspoken left-wing Democrat. He would rant and rave about Republicans during meetings at work, which put me in an uncomfortable spot.
Another thing I should add is that everyone that claims to be so liberal here in NYC isn't. Some "liberal Democrats" are closeted sexists and racists that wouldn't dare want to be exposed as such. The hypocrisy and "political correctness" is sickening.

Some are racists and not even closeted... like symone sanders (although that isn't NYC specifically)

This is true, but city data is really atypical.

I bet if the general populace on facebook, twitter, tumblr, the other larger sites weren't so hostile to anyone who isn't a super lefty, trumpkins wouldn't become so highly concentrated on sites like this one

Trump himself is a low-class parvenu from Queens who has never been accepted in Manhattan. His resulting inferiority complex explains a lot of his bizarre behavior and disconnection from realty.

Comments like the above are hilarious. The man has a life you couldn't even have a legit dream about yet you think the words above actually matter. I'm not one to say "respect the president!" because I certainly haven't respected the POS we just lived through, but expect laughter when you're an online loser flapping that a billionaire president-elect has an inferiority complex.

Trump is not a classy guy. Money does not equal class.
And classy people in NYC for sure don't respect him.
So I would imagine that he knows that and, yes, has an inferiority complex since no amount of money he earns can help him overcome all his trashy behavior.
