Yeah me too-it's exciting and nervewrecking. I know how anxious one can get after being called to interview. I wasn't trying to sound rude or anything but hey if you asked it was because you questioned it. Jelly36 actually is going through a similar situation where she was denied because even though her past docs state that she makes the right amount to qualify for an apartment, she was still denied (and appealed of course) because they calculated her sh*t wrong for this year and was $200 short - that's why I said you may be denied.

Just be on your sh*t is what I'm saying lol (I'm not dealing with this agency so I have no real advice other than that)

They should be taking the highest income, but you really never know IF they will! It does not really matter what your intake specialist tells you, your application will go to the leasing specialist and then to compliance and they can reject you later on as well. Who knows what exactly they do, how they calculate your income but very often they do make a mistake, or just find a way to disqualify you... I am not saying it will happen, but it is a possibility, so be ready for anything. It happened to me and I was rejected 6 weeks after my interview (after I was told I qualify and my credit was checked). Look up my previous posts for timeline and just if you are curious to know more... I appealed and my file is now again under review. Good luck and keep us posted!

I'm honestly still nervous. I have an interview on the 27th and I have no credit, nor to I owe money to anyone. I meet the income, and have all my papers. It's just the credit part I'm worried about.

You will be fine. Just relax, go and let them do their thing - I am pretty sure there's been dozens without credit who have received offers. Do you have any bills under your name?

You could offer proof of your prompt payment of utility bills (phone, electricity, etc.) to show you pay your bills on time, which is what they're looking for. The document from your landlord, assuming you're currently renting, will also show that, so I wouldn't worry too much. But given how illogical the whole system is, you can't be sure.

Hello saw a unit signed paper work waiting on HPD approval
i did ask some questions
BG compliance is considered the strictest unit through out the marketing agents (thats what i have been told but who knows ) and they have a 95% approval rating one thing that stood out was the irs review that hpd gets can disqualify an applicant due to assets ,people previously claiming you marriage /divorce property splits etc something i didn't even think about as only hpd can access those files not BG which i believe is why you sign all those forms in office after viewing apartment but with that said who the F knows so I'm just waiting on approval I'm frustrated nervous and a bit over it !
i have so much paper work its insane and i will be keeping every bit of it going forward .
cause you just never know there are so many grey areas

like if accepted and you have to break your lease how do you go about that
they should make a law or ruling that if accepted to a NYC program you can break your lease in 30 days
dont ya think ?

Have you heard back from anyone yet ?

I really wish you and anyone that has the stomach to go through this a lot of luck i truly feel sick

but i would be very grateful as any of us would be to obtain this gift !
