They also cashed my money order and checked credit and my credit score is 775, no debt or anything.. So be ready for a wait longer than 6 weeks (in my case 3 months). My advice, read other people's posts (you can learn a lot about the process even from this thread alone) just to get an idea and see the timeline and outcomes for everyone. Good luck!

This is why i even registered for an account. My friend took about 2 months and hes on Madison and 33rd. I optimistically believed it will be more than 6 weeks. But it's the waiting in the dark that's killing me. yeah, besides a few credit card payments, I have no debt or collections and my credit score is 702. She told me HPD, but ill take your word for it since you've been through the process. Thanks @Jelly

I don't know if she's ignoring me or not. I'm just praying i get it. It's for a 1 bedroom or Studio. Does anybody have time frame on when they've got fully confirmed after the paperwork has been pushed through to HPD.
I know the feeling! I been waiting 8 weeks already still haven't gotten a update.

It most likely means they are processing other applications with lower log numbers.

IDK why she told you HPD. You'll know if it's with HPD because prior to sending out your file, you will have to go in and sign some more papers/affidavits and you will know your assigned unit.

That's the problem with some agencies. They tell people that their files are somewhere when in reality it's still sitting around the office or with management smh

Some agencies are different, though. When I was accepted at Steinway Estates in Astoria, I only went in for the interview once - signed papers and then had to wait in the figurative dark. A few months later, I received a phone call out of the blue on a Friday afternoon, telling me that I was approved by the city. (I later rejected the apartment over the commute).

But for this current lottery that I'm in and currently waiting in the dark, they told me that my file was sent to management, and that they will call me back before it gets sent to the city.

For BG and this specific development, your intake specialist sends your file to the leasing, then to compliance and if it all goes through - you are invited to go in and sign docs for HPD... and HPD usually approves faster. I honestly doubt Mako007's file is at HPD at this point, plus his log is 2*** and they haven't even processed lower log #s... but who knows really, BG is so unpredictable and the whole process is a mess

Fine, every agency is different but For the way they've been processing other files, they shouldn't say "its with HPD" .

Maybe Mako007's Intake specialist said she is sending the file for 'further processing' but he/she misunderstood that means the file is sent to HPD. Just guessing here.

Mako007, do you have it in writing what exactly your intake specialist wrote?
For example, my Intake Specialist sent me this email 6 weeks after my interview: 'You file is now being sent to leasing for further processing'. She never said HPD or the city, none of it.

At this point, I don't think it matter

By the way, so your file is now being sent to leasing/management?!

Are you getting closer?! lol
