My point is: if they need more paperwork from me why don't they speed up and ask for more instead of having me wait and ask every two to three weeks for something new, something else that makes no sense and they didn't need before? It is clear they reached my log number of 6** since they approved someone with 7** So if they are processing around my log # why not speed it up a little

Something comforting on having to wait and not being assigned a unit yet is that higher floor units tend to go to later applicants and log numbers. Good luck

If they are still requesting paperwork from you I guess that means they are still working on it. But this waiting game is anxiety 101. Let's look on the bright side you've met the requirements and have a low log number so you are kinda guaranteed a spot. Mine is much higher than yours so idk how long I will have to wait or if there will be any spots available by the time they get to me. But if it's meant to be it will be. Good luck guys!!

Hi guys - wondering about how my experience compares to others'. I got a request to submit initial paperwork in early September, had an interview in early October, and since then, have been responding to questions about deposits/requests for forms/etc about once a week.

From my understanding at my interview, the application and income verification must first pass Breaking Ground, then go onto Compliance, then finally approved by HPD.

Does this sound like a similar experience? Are many of you at the same stage in the process? My income qualifies and is fairly straightforward - I have good credit, and a single job with an annual salary and receive no other income. My assumption is they're processing many many many applications at once with a very few units left, and at this point it's a race to the finish line that's totally out of the applicant's control.

Just trying to wrap my head around timing etc. Any insight would be appreciated!

For me, it's been a never ending process of submitting documents. I submitted a bunch to my Intake Specialist and for the last two months have been submitting new documents and whatever they ask for to my Leasing Specialist. This is just my experience. My interview was in July and I have no idea where I stand in this process anymore.

I just heard back from my Leasing Specialist again and this is what he is requesting now:

1. 2014 Tax Returns (Copy or Transcript)

2. Chase Bank Asset Verification Form
a. The form that we have on file is set to expire for compliance and Low Income Housing Tax Credit purposes, which is why we require an updated form.

3. Chase Bank Statements (July – Present)
a. Please include all pages

4) Clarification of your position as a XXX
a. Is this a position that you work from home?

So, I have already submitted 2014 Tax Return TWICE, together with 2015 and 2016!
Asset verification form from July expired I guess (I thought it expires after 120 days??)
Will submit new bank statements, last one was July
I also clarified my independent contractor position to both intake specialist and leasing specialist already, they also called the company to confirm and yet they are asking THE EXACT SAME THING again.

Hope this helps someone. I guess hearing from them is better than not hearing from them at all, but until WHEN is this going to go?! I mean, I am basically submitting either things I have submitted already or explaining things I have explained.

Ah relieved to hear it's been a stop-and-start, submission-and-re-submission-rigamarole for you as well. Sounds like we are in a similar boat.

Yes, it's for everyone. You've been only waiting since September/October and I've been waiting since July. What is your log #?

Wait, you have CB preference!? I was told they were done with CBs.. maybe they realized they messed up so they called you late and will process you now before anyone else. Another person here was approved and moved in a month ago and had a log of 50k and CB preference... you should have been called earlier.
