Just another one of those "only in New York" stories where nothing is sacred to some people, not even death. When coupled with an often inept and sometimes corrupt city government these sort of things happen.
Sadly it took an investigation into fraud linked to hurricane Sandy to finally bring things to light.
I've been following this story since it became public. Such an amazing investigation and a tragic story that Ms. Connors' was buried in potter's field although she was a wealthy woman, and this woman in her neighborhood took advantage of the situation and pretended Connors was alive since 2011, stealing her properties and money.
Connors had an amazing life story and I'm glad to get to hear it.
