I know it was but you don't know what the OP's commute will be like, so implying that the commute will be a drag may not be accurate. Every neighborhood doesn't have to be up and coming to be great. Woodlawn is a perfectly fine neighborhood. If the commute doesn't work for the OP, I'm sure they'll figure that out on their own. I think that anywhere in the Bronx to lower Manhattan, Queens or Brooklyn would likely be a long commute anyway, so that should be obvious.

People are still that shallow??? If people are too ignorant to know there are nice neighborhoods in the The Bronx - then let them continue to be stupid. You can't change stupid. However, if people are still too shallow - then that's just plain sad.
