Well mea EM the wife ski'ed for the first time ver at Stratton mountain and love it. I caught on pretty quick. I'd like to go more often and was wondering is there was anything closer than 4-1/2 hours away? Thanks.

Poconos and Catskills. I've been to a few in both areas and don't really have a preference. Just know you'll encounter more crowds the closer you get to NYC.
