Don't resist arrest and you won't get your ass kicked. I don't know why this point is lost on some people.

Get kicked and beaten by three people and see how still you stay while it happens. This is what NYC gets when the enforcement and traffic control elements of the City's Department of Transportation are merged into the NYPD. The wrong people in the wrong positions with the wrong training.

An idiotic and ignorant comment. Do you really not know the difference between Traffic Enforcement Agents and police officers? You seem not to understand that the three men in dark blue uniforms are cops, not traffic agents. Do you also really not know that the police have always had the authority to enforce traffic laws, and control the flow of traffic, even before 1995 (which is when the traffic agents were moved from DOT to the NYPD)?

Beyond that, do tell us, from your unlimited expertise, exactly how you get someone's hands behind his back to be handcuffed when he is actively fighting with you physically to prevent it? (And no, saying "pretty please with sugar on top!" is not the right answer...)

In NYC, not much of a difference as they were patrolling in a windowed cargo van. Being US Marine trained, one has to be in control of their emotions. Once a person is taken down, they are down. One does not become many to beat the person on the ground and become a group of thugs. The 40th is not a easy precinct and has lost control of it and becoming more violent does make them better LEO's in the eyes of its residents. Can't wait to see the images on the body cameras.

Police are required to activate the cameras when they make an arrest or issue a summons; take a suspect into custody; stop a vehicle; and when a confrontation begins to escalate.

I don't get emotional when dealing with situations, but it seems you do.

So what? Maybe people should stop testing the patience of strangers. He got issued a ticket. All he had to do was accept the ticket and go about his business. The video starts in the middle of the scuffle we have no idea what this guy did to set the cops off.

I am 32 years old and i remember the Rodney King beatings and the Abner Louima sodomy. Those incidents always reminded me not to mess around with cops. At the end of the day, Cops are humans and humans are emotional creatures. People need to realize that everyone reacts differently to stimulus. A person might react calm, another might react with anger, another with violence, etc..

KNOW the law and be aware when you break it. This guy is 50 years old throwing a fit from a ticket when he broke the law.

Yup, NYC's finest at work. The NYC cop culture never seems to change.

Street fighting is not usually done in a fair way. And that's why it's wise not to initiate it. Read that last sentence again as you seem to have missed it in my initial responce.

I spent a large chunk of my life living in the NYC boroughs and also have lived in other states and I currently live in the South. Throughout all my years in the US, the numero uno thugs have been the NYPD. The gang up on mentality has existed for years. I've been in street fights during my youth and it was nothing compared to the NYPD. I do support LEOs and do believe that Blue Lives Matter, but the NYPD creates a tarnished view of LEOs across the nation. The NYPD needs to be cleaned up and cleaned out of the trash that tarnishes it.
