U gon have to find somewhere else to cop your budget and knockoff shoes now.

Payless ShoeSource announced Tuesday that it has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, and will close nearly 400 stores in the U.S. and Puerto Rico.
"This is a difficult, but necessary, decision driven by the continued challenges of the retail environment, which will only intensify, said W. Paul Jones, the company's chief executive officer. "We will build a stronger Payless for our customers, vendors and suppliers, associates, business partners and other stakeholders through this process."

They actually have some decent shoes. I have pair of heels I had for over 20 years. Everytime I wear them I get compliments. I always say yah they are 20+ years old and from Payless.

I'm cheap and buy $10-20 shoes from there for everyday use, but they last long enough and no one notices they're cheap that it's generally worth it. Time to stock up!

I used to buy Payless as a child. They were not the best shoes to wear. I'm glad I don't have to buy Payless anymore.

I have worn expensive boots and Payless Boots. Both hurt my feet but Payless hurts my wallet less. Payless for life!

This is terrible. I love their ballerina slippers. I guess it will not affect their online store.
