Looks like this will speed up development in Central Brooklyn. The article also mentioned the substantial tax credits Clinton gave companies for investing in inner cities in 1993. That helped pave the way for the current gentrification, as companies still get tax credits for investing in poor areas. Not just from the Feds, but from state governments too.
