Update: I couldn't take the wavecrest bull**** anymore and called HPD today and discovered that there are 77 people ahead of me. While probably half don't qualify for whatever reason, the chances of me actually getting an apartment are pretty much slim to none. So I asked why Wavecrest couldn't have communicated that clearly from the start and was told by HPD that wavecrest is known for this. At this point I'm officially done and will renew my lease and continue paying through the nose. I wish you all luck ladies. I hope it works out for at least some of you.

I didn't even know calling HPD was an option! What info do you have to provide them in order to let you know where you are in the process? So for all of us still waiting it's most likely that we are at them end of a long list too. That sucks....wish they had been more transparent from the start!

HPD told me that the marketing agent said I'll most likely be wait listed as all apartments in my range/preference have been filled. Since nobody ever moves out of these apartments I don't have a chance of ever getting one.

You know, I just wish wavecrest was more honest. It's been 6 months since the interview, during this time I could have looked for something else maybe or not annoy my landlord about resigning my lease at the very lease.
