BK and LIC are not that difficult to get to from Long Island.... its faster commute than to Manhattan majority of the time. Both places have LIRR stops as well.

the towers by the water serve the ferry crowd very well, over by gantry park. if you work in the 30s very east side, your commute will be very good, and if down by wall street, very good as well. that ferry works.

getting on the 7 to Manhattan will be good as well, even if you are likely to find a packed train .

but who could afford this? this is not being built for Queens and Queens residents. $850,000 and up for a 1 bedroom is a pretty steep price to pay for an apartment.

brooklyn and the bronx has not gone tall, with so many projects. what is going on in LIC is overkill.
It's made for anyone who can afford to live there. That was prime real estate due to it's closeness to Midtown.

LIC is beautiful and they should have town down those garbage industrial buildings ages ago.

The traffic has become increasingly bad. I live in astoria and drive into the city fairly often lately. I am pretty disgusted by the congestion in both neighborhoods these days. Still beats the train though...
