Governor's Island is fun. Bring your bike to circuit the island. They rent bikes but they are old tanks with back-pedal brakes...and the rentals are a bit overpriced.
Next nice day I want to do the FDR Memorial on the South part of Roosevelt Island.
I think Puerto Rico or Dominican Republic be nice. I have been to both. Puerto Rico feels cleaner and safer being a US territory that is.
