we don't mind supporting those who truly fought to defend the US. in my opinion, a lot of young people were attracted to the financial opportunities to fight wars that they themselves may not agree with. it is an abuse of their patriotisms and tax dolars to benefit the interest groups.

if as tax payers we cannot stop the interst groups in power from starting abusive wars, at least we should discourage the young people from participating in such wrong causes by limiting their benefit packages.

I don't mess with nobody. I enjoy giving free critics to help people see theit own blind spots or straighten up misformed values due to propaganda.

after couples of attempts with no effect, I will just igonore them, like what I have likely done with you...

It is disgusting to see what the "top" politicians are engaged in today in America. Hope more influential non-politicians will speak up to raise public awareness to put a stop to the costly personal political games that bunch of suckers are playing against each other.
Jamie Dimon blows up at DC's dysfunction, says he's tired of 'listening to the stupid s---'

JPM's Jamie Dimon blows up at Washington on earnings call

"It's almost an embarrassment being an American citizen traveling around the world and listening to the stupid s--- we have to deal with in this country," Dimon said in response to an analyst question.
"Since the Great Recession, which is now 8 years old, we've been growing at 1.5 to 2 percent in spite of stupidity and political gridlock, because the American business sector is powerful and strong," he said. "What I'm saying is it would be much stronger growth had we made intelligent decisions and were there not gridlock."

When enough is enough??

Do you have any idea how much federal funding is part of NYS and NYC budget?

Who do you think helped fund the Second Avenue Subway, East Side (LIRR) Access, the "new" Penn Station?

Just pick a sector from transit to healthcare and you'll find NYC gets money from the feds; and it never is enough as Schumer et al in Washington are constantly scheming to find more ways to shovel yet more.

Take care what you wish for..

^THIS!

We shouldn't ignore that fact that DC burns through it, doesn't account for it and that as a whole our taxes could be a LOT lower an the feds could STILL do everything they ACTUALLY needed to do, but the federal gov't does need tax revenue.
