If you want a quality burger, you go to Shake Shack. Didn't you grow up in NYC?

This is an excellent point. Amazing how far they have come now. Global businesses that start in NYC are a great thing.

There were burgers in NYC before Shake Shack and plenty of restaurants, bars, and delis have them.

Quality burger?

What BS. Putting ground beef between a bun after its been cooked is simple.

Then how do so many places get it wrong?

For those in the Bronx, Yo Burger is a good alternative. Admittedly has copied Shake Shack though.

Rather go to the supermarket, get a gallon of ice cream at regular price of $5.99 and a gallon of milk at $3.49; put it in my blender and still come out less than the price of one overrated shake at 'The Shack'! But to each y'all own......!

Yes. I make smoothies at home that taste much better than the shakes at Shake Shack. Anyone of course is free to like what they like, but to me Shake Shack is not all that and I've had better burgers at smaller places including delis in NYC. Shake Shack did have good marketing, and really took off because it marketed itself as an upscale burger joint. A place where people could get a burger and feel like they weren't low class like those going to McDonalds or Burger King.

It's very rare that I have a better burger than Shake Shack...anywhere. But to each their own.
