High around 94. Looks like we are lucky this summer with few days when temp climbs over 90. Reading news about heat waves around the world makes me feel that I am living in the best mega city...

Isn't so much the heat that is getting me down, but the near constant oppressive humidity.

At first coming out of an air conditioned building you don't feel it right away. But after walking a few blocks you begin to bust out a sweat. A block or so later you are totally wet.

I am going to check our garden for Parrots.

If you are not young and robust, stay indoors and crank up your air conditioner and your DVR. <Heat index will be near 100 this afternoon.>

Even if one is a bit older they can be without air conditioning if they don't overdo and drink plenty of fluids.

it sounds like that you get ball-washed easily...
I would suggest that you wear some cooling packs around.
