I have my reserved books sent to the East 96th St. Branch and it was closed for several months for renovations. It was a pain in the ass. I mostly used Carmine Street and Lincoln Center for the duration.
As for the "renovations" at 96th, I see nothing different.

Not exactly as there were non homeless patrons there as well. But I don't think the interim space will be able to accommodate that many people and its hours are shorter (open only 9 pm instead of 11 pm).
