Hello, I'm log number 9,602. And I'm currently living in a shelter with my family, I went in for an interview sometime in April. Do they give higher preferences to people/families in shelters? I was told this by the woman who interviewed us but the chances seem so slim since we're kinda high up. My husband lived in the Bronx for awhile- I'm not sure if that makes a big difference. Good luck to you all!

I actually take the train from 161 everyday and saw this building going up from day 1.

Another lottery I don't qualify for as single occupant lol. let me be perfectly honest. I would never, ever, live there!! Everyone who has taken the 4 train from 149 knows when it turns that corner it screams and the building is right next to it. not to mention the foot traffic and vehicle traffic from all the events happening in the stadium will make living there a pain in the ass.

I live back over by the grand concourse and I can hear the music coming from the stadium when they had concerts in there, and when they were blasting Empire State of Mind I heard it loud and clear. Imagine being that close.

I used to live in that neighborhood and would live there in a heart beat. First off river ave doesn't get a lot of traffic, even game days. I have lived right next to an elevated train. Like if I could float on air my toes would touch the tracks while my arms touched my window. Not really an issue, you get used to the train. And it prevents people from hanging on the street cause they can't carry a conversation as the trains too loud. Now there is so much in the area everything you need is close by.
Good luck to the people who get called and get it.
