I wrote earlier that a friend of mine was reaching out to the housing office to see why they hadn't called her yet.
Her number was in the low 200s, and the office said they are beginning outreach in Mid December...
fking hell
that's gonna be like forever for them to reach out to anyone with a high logs
anyone with anything higher 10k can kiss this goodbye
including me
Mid December is not that bad. I mean, it's what - in one week?
As for higher log numbers, personally, I have never gotten my hopes up high for anything higher than 3,000.
The prices are insane. I wish they would stop with all the unnecessary amenities that bring the prices up.
Basketball court, golf simulator, screening room, outdoor space = not necessary.
In-unit washer/dryer, i can do with a 8am to 10pm attended lobby not 24 hr lobby = necessary.
fitness center depending on how this is done then it's a maybe. If it's an entire floor with all the essential equipment ie looks like a regular gym then i am ok with it. Maybe charge a small minimum price

speaking for 3k logs

Also, when will the middle class get a nice "affordable" housing lottery. You have micro apts 260 to 360 square feet charging 2400 to 3000. WTF!?
The single people that make $80K to $120K. I would love to pay $1,000 to $1,200 for a unit with the minimum amenities.
Sorry, but paying $1,900 for a 1 bedroom is crazy. You have to factor in that you are barely in your apt if you have a full time job and an active social life. A studio $600 to $900 depending on location. A 1 bedroom should be around $900 to $1300 depending on location. A 2 bedroom $1400 to $1900, 3 bedroom $2000 to $2400, etc. The real estate prices are just out of whack with reality. Your salary would have to increase by 7% to 10% yearly just so you can have some disposable income for fun if you live by yourself. I just got a nice letter from UnitedHealthCare stating that my insurance rates will increase almost by $100.00.
I wish a developer would make a communal apt in which people would do some of the task of the super in order to decrease the cost of living in an apt building. In essence, the apt renters would act like an owner of the apt and apt building. This will not work with all people and all places though. I for one would be interested in a scenario like this if the rent prices are more affordable. Riff Raff not apply at these apts..

i agree with you completely
it's sad that a big city like this and its government is completely useless.
i hope one day people reach to breaking point and start complaining to congress or something
not that they care since they all get a cut anyway as well
