Were you able to select your unit? Did they show everything was available?
After you make some friends in your building, can you let me know if the low income winners have corn rolls, wear wife beaters, vaseline on their lips, a scarf covering their hair and grey sweatpants?
This could possibly alert people paying 10K to rent in the same building these are lottery winners.

LOL, as long as this description does not apply to you, they'll never know you're a lottery winner!
They did not give me a choice at units. They already had assigned the unit-- at least for me. But I got myself a little balcony so I'm not upset!
Also, that perception of low income winners is written in poor taste. Who cares, it doesn't matter and your caricature of "low income" isn't helping anybody.
Everybody in this thread has been very kind, helpful, and positive. I've genuinely appreciated everybody here. Let's try to not bring any negativity here and keep the helpfulness rollin.
Gurrrllll, I'm the furthest thing from it. Everytime someone sees me in the marble floor lobby by the concierge, I immediately get checked off for the 3 boxes under P.
That's for Power, Priviledge and Prestige.
I never buy any clothes that are gym grey sweatpants colored. It has negative connotations. I've heard people on the streets call grey gym sweatpants are: "Trayvon Martin colors".
So NEVA DAT, StormGal.
No one ever thinks I'm a lottery winner. That's why it is so hard for me to be friends with other tenants while holding this deep secret to myself.
I don't think you should get offended. It is just very descriptive details providing vivid sensory images.
People get upset and offended so easily. I never get mad when people ask me if I'm black because I'm always eating watermelon and drinking orange/grape soda.
The response from my close friends are always: You must have been black in another life. You just love soul food.
I never get offended. If anything, I'm flattered. The next thing you know will be people accusing me of having rhythm and being able to dance. Just another nice compliment.

Oh I didn't get offended, Just don't think there's a place or a need for comments like that. Some things are best kept to yourself, You seem like you're a very funny person--I'm sure there's many other types of jokes you can crack on.
Whether you can or can not dance I will not say. Lol.
