Default Anyone remember Munzenmaier Bread, made in Flushing

They made the most delicious German breads. They had a nice variety too. My grandmother worked there for years, especially during the 60s/early 70s. I don't know why they went out of business or when exactly. Does anyone know if those wonderful breads show up under a different name?

Default Munzenmaier Bread

Yes, I do remember. The founder and former owner Ernst Munzenmaier used to visit my family on his nearly annual journeys to his home country Germany. As a gift he brought some of his products. Mostly I remember "Munzenmaiers Pumpernickel". And the funny stories he told us - he was really a fine guy. He retired in the 70s and died about 15 years ago. He and his wife Lilly had no children, but I guess the factory is still running.

If the bread is still as good as in the good old days please tell me.
