Hello. I want to take the Path train from Newark Penn Station to Christopher Street in Soho, but wondering which PATH train to take? Or do I have to switch trains at Journal Square to avoid going to WTC by mistake??

You have to take the path train to journal square and switch to a 33rd Street bound which goes to Christopher Street.
You get on Newark station, and get off and transfer after 2 stops, which lands you on Journal Square (also known as JSQ), and you want to get on the yellow line for Journal Square - 33 Street, then you will get to the Christopher Street. Alternative route would be Hoboken - 33 Street. Hope this helps.
I always find it a waste of time going to Christopher St. Because from Newark you have to get off at JSQ to change to the 33rd St PATH train and sometimes it can be an extra 10-15 min for the train to start moving and it takes another 15min into city.
From Newark to WTC is 20mins, get off and take the subway and you'll be around the area in 30mins.
In the morning switching from the WTC to the 33rd street line is a timed connection; when things are working well you spend about a minute at JSQ. Of course things aren't always working well. The other advantage of using PATH is 1 fare; using the subway means 2 fares.
Schedules are on the PATH site; it's a 20 minute ride if the stars line up.
