Certification requirements in NY have changed- I know the procedures and types of licenses are very different from when I started in '96 (and confusing- part of me thinks that they make things confusing to weed people out
)
NYC is always looking for bilingual teachers, so I don't think you will have a problem, beyond getting through the red tape.
