But hey it's a free market, if you prefer yellow cabs there's nothing wrong with that. The consumer wins with all the options
Exactly! The consumer has more options in terms of transportation. MTA Buses/Trains, CitiBikes, Walking, Yellow Cabs, Uber/Lyft/VIA, electronic skateboards/bikes, carpool programs (not affiliated with Uber/Lyft, etc) etc.

Very true!

I'm actually currently holding out for a well made electronic something to get me around the city. I really think electric transportation will be the best way to get around the city.....weather permitting of course, lol.

Same here. The premium ones are pretty expensive. I might start doing Citibike after work to 72nd st then to Via home in the springtime.

I would LOVE to get a boosted board but I fear bad things happening on it for me unfortunately, lol. I def would prefer something with handles for control. Boosted boards are the best in electric skate boards for sure though!

I'm hoping Tesla (or any big tech company) comes out with something small/portable for commuters to be honest! They would get the speed, battery and mileage I'd like on these things!

The EU courts have decided that Uber is considered a taxi service as oppose to an internet app.

This means they are subject to all taxi regulations in EU such as worker rights, fares, and safety regulations.

I'm sure it won't be long when this makes it to various regions in the US such as CA, Seattle, TX, then NYC. Say good bye to low fares.

Uber will be forced to pay drivers more and abide by other municipality laws.
