I know that Sunset Park North has had gentrification for a while, but does anyone think it has reached into the southern part of Sunset Park where the Brooklyn Chinatown is?

I have strolled down 6th Avenue in the 50s and 60s Streets and although it is not a significant number, it seems like there are a few hipsters already.

Has anyone noticed this? Is gentrification now finally reaching further into Bay Ridge and maybe now Borough Park/Bensonhurst will be next?

More gentrification people obsessing and hyping up neighborhoods... Next there will be a thread about the rats becoming gentrified.

I don't think it's as significant in the 50s and 60s - Chinese are buying up most of the real estate (at least that was the case when I was there) and when they do, it's their family or other Chinese they rent to that are moving in.

I lived on 61st, my landlord owned two houses next to each other - he sold both to one Chinese family. Each house was 1.5 million (full ask). That was over a year ago.
