I thought the city provided all you traffic enforcement agents with heavy coats and hats.

Exactly! Friends and coworkers of mine were complaining it was cold when it was in the upper 30's and 40's and I told them this isn't cold!! Once it gets into the 20's and below, that's where the cold begins. Everyone's been spoiled with mild winters for the past few years!!

Computer says it is 17F in Central Park. (I put the bedroom convector on this morning...the room was 65F when we woke.) From the week's forecast it looks we want full steam ahead.

Agreed. It's supposed to be cold. We're in the North! Since when did everybody ***** about such weather? It's cold but certainly nothing horrible. There's hardly any wind in most places unless you're by the water.

They're complaining because the media keeps feeding us that there's global warming and how each month is the hottest temp. reading ever.

Oddly enough, I'm colder when the temps are in the 40's than when it's in the 20's. I think it's because when it's in the 40's or 30's I don't dress as warmly thinking it'll be alright. But when it's in the 20's, I dress like an eskimo and am mentally prepared for the blast so when I'm actually out & about, I find it not to be all that bad. I was all toasty and warm today running errands. More so than I thought I would be.
