I'm not sure why anyone would think that, the only part of Queens that's single family house dominated would be far Northeast Queens. Even Southeast Queens is mostly 2-4 family houses.
You know, we had this discussion not long ago where it became clear you haven’t been through much of southeast queens except one neighborhood where you work and some other streets here and there. Why do you say stuff as fact when you’re just guessing?
Southeast Queens has many single family detached homes. I don’t know the percentage and whether it’s the majority but it is not at all insignificant.
I can’t speak on Staten Island since I’ve barely been except the ferry a couple of times and to drive through to get to Jersey.

How are you so sure I'm wrong, have you lived in every single SE Queens neighborhood? I never said the percentage of SFHs was insignificant, but from what I've seen in South Jamaica, Rochdale, Springfield Gardens, and Rosedale, it seems that multifamily houses are the majority . And it's not like I've only seen one street in each neighborhood, I go through these neighborhoods all the time.
Jamaica and Far Rockaway are arguably part of SE Queens too and these neighborhoods are very urban.
It would be a draw between SI and Queens. Jamaica, all towns that make up Jamaica ,offers a large amount of single detached homes. Hollis, Queens village, bellrose, fresh Meadows, forest hills, I can go on a name at least half of the towns in Queens are compromised of 1 family detached.

If things keep on going way they are, SI likely will loose out. Few if any developers in the past decade or even more build single family homes on the Rock. It is all townhouses and other attached or semi-detached housing.
Couple this with the good amount of land available to build (this includes empty lots and or tear downs), and you can see where this is going.
As last link shows there are times when being a "single family detached" means absolutely nothing. For some of these homes shoved onto tiny lots might as well have been attached for all the benefit.

At least half of Queens is SFHs? I highly doubt that

It depends on where you go. Cambria Heights is mostly single family homes. The Jewish part of Far Rockaway is mostly Singke Famiky hones. Belle Harbor, Neponsit, and Breezy Point see other parts of the Rockaways that are mostly single family homes.
I can see the protestors point. In my experience in percentage of single family homes dramatically increases when you leave the vicinity of a train line, especially in Eastern Queens.
Jamaica Estates is mostly single family homes too. Not far from the subway Forest Hills has a lot of single family homes, depending in the part of the neighborhood.
I’ve taken the bus from Queens to Nassau, and the LIRR. Nassau doesn’t look very different from Eastern Wueens until you get out to Hicksville. The houses and lots tend to get much bigger.
Queens came in with 53% of attached or semi owner occupied homes.
So there you have it; The Rock (Staten Island) wins.
Would a 2-4 family detached house with the owner living in it count for that?
