Hello everyone,


I'm currently in a family situation where I own a 2 family semi-home in the Bronx and I'm co-owner 50% with brother-in-law. It just happened that a few months ago he purchase anew home near his business and we have not come into an agreement of a buy-out which is what I really want. We had two independent appraisals done which are off by 75K - one came in at $800K and other at $725K. This is a big gap and my question boils down to the following :


There were comps done on his appraisal that show only 20K adjustment with regards to detached vs semi-attached. There were another adjustment on my appraisal that adjusted the same scenario of semi-attached VS detached by $60K. Can anyone she some light of the differences in the home designs adjustments?

ask the f'ing appraisers. how do you expect some stranger on here to offer an opinion re appraisals on a house they have never seen ?
