I'm watching Chef's Table on Netflix and they are profiling Christina Tosi's Milkbar in Brooklyn (they have multiple locations, apparently). I did some digging and this place seems pretty legit: https://milkbarstore.com/
Has anyone been here/can anyone provide firsthand reviews? I'm seriously considering ordering long distance.

Wait you left NYC? I thought Prospect Heights was all the rage?? I was about to say, why order long distance when you're in NYC before I saw your location.

I'm actually in Hawaii now I miss Brooklyn, but work called!
I actually really dislike Milk Bar. Tried it a handful of times over the years and found things to be way too sweet for my tastes.
That said, it has always gotten great reviews and some people seem to love them. Probably worth a try.
I just checked its website and didn't realize it now has so many locations. Obviously it must be popular. The last time I went, it only had a couple of locations (adjacent to the Momofuku restaurants).
Good to hear your perspective, MC305. I'm actually not a huge sweets guy (I do get a craving every now and then), and do not like overly sweet products when I do indulge in sweets. I'm still doing some research on the matter. It looks like I'd have to tack on at least a $100 delivery fee, so that'll make me think even more

You might have to just stick with the local chocolate covered macadamia nuts!
I am not really a sweets guy either but I like this place mostly to bring in visitors from out of town, they usually love it, don't forget to try that Crack Pie....

Postmates loves to promote this place ( and therefore its profitable for them). I went once to their Uws location, ordered a crack pie and had one of the worst upset stomachs ever. Honestly I can’t understand the hype unless you’re a Carrie Bradshaw type. To me it’s overpriced and forgettable. Imo there are way better real Nyc bakeries; last time I tried some Russian cake slices in Brighton Beach for a $1 which were more satisfying.
