agree with what? that it takes an hour? that's nonsense. Sure there are occasional delays, just as there are on any other line. But normal service to midtown from Sheepshead Bay station is 40 mins or so. That's the case more often than not.

That can't be the case based on the schedule. From 57th street to Brighton Beach, it is almost an hour.

Add in some delays and it's easily OVER an hour, not unless you're traveling late at night.

That's on the weekend Q, there's also the express B and it takes about 40mins.

Welcome to Sheepshead Bay.

I clearly said above that Sheepshead to 42nd is 40 minutes. The schedule supports that. Maybe pay attention?

of course Brighton is past sheepshead.
again, I mentioned the B, not the Q. There's a difference.

do you have any direct experience commuting from this area along that line? Seems like you're just spouting useless nonsense.

All I saw was Midtown, not 42nd street. On the B to 42nd from Sheepshead Bay, I've been there in 35 minutes. However, that depends on the time of day etc. HOWEVER, on weekends, commuting with the Q from 57th street to Sheepshead Bay has taken OVER an hour, so it really depends on when you travel. Stop trying to paint a rosy picture. The B runs local more than express these days.

yes, the Q makes additional stops and is slower. NO ONE DENIES THIS. But who the hell is commuting on the weekends? Maybe if your job is at Chipolte?

Well, let’s just agree that it’d be great if the B train ran on weekends. Thanks.

As if people don't go places on weekends? You need your head checked.

Gentrification basically means "neighborhood improvement", so all of NYC (more or less) falls in that bucket.

Sheepshead has been improving for at least 20 years, but it has nothing to do with traditional gentrifiers. There are no Williamsburg/Bushwick hipsters or Manhattan yuppies moving to Sheepshead. It's more moneyed immigrants buying condos, opening nicer restaurants, etc. Russians, Ukranians, Belorussians, Chinese, Turks.

Exactly. It's still an immigrant neighborhood. Mostly Eastern European with some Chinese and Turks.
