Manhattan Beach is a great neighborhood, but the state of that beach is schizohrenic. When I go there, it can be anywhere from idyllic and beautiful to littered with garbage with almost no apparent rhyme or reason.

I like the beach at Manhattan Beach.
I believe the neighborhood is largely Russian now. It depends if that's what you like.
