That's cool that the population here in NYC is more educated.

In what way is the AA culture in the South different than in NYC?

I don’t think that is true. For instance, the Bronx has a little over 476,000 Black people alone(a little over 508,000 inc. in combo and a little under 424,000 Black non Hispanic), 181,000 are West Indian and from “Sub Saharan” Africa.

For Brooklyn, there are a little over 871,000 Black people(a little 902,000 inc. in combo and a little over 806,000 Black non Hispanic). Of this, around 367,000 are West Indian and Sub Saharan African.

This is 2016 census info from American FactFinder.

Just to add...For Queens, there are 423,451 Black people(454,759 inc. in combo and 398,786 Black non Hispanic). There are 182,829 West Indians and Sub Saharan Africans combined.

For Manhattan, there are 244,787 Black residents(279,219 inc. in combo and 206,008 Black non Hispanic). There are 56,884 West Indians and Sub Saharan Africans combined.

Staten Island, there are 48,941 Black residents(54,246 inc. in combo and 44,570 Black non Hispanic). There are 14,643 West Indians and Sub Saharan Africans combined.

So, this give people some idea of the breakdown and perhaps the African American exodus may be overstated and the influx of even “educated” or skill/industry specific African Americans is understated, given the data.

Why else would they have ended up in the Carribean/South America?
I agree. I'm surprised he knew that.

They do. Lots of black Americans have told me, why so you people think we are better than them. I remember a Jamaican man that been America since the 1960s. This is at a doctors office some years. He said his boss did not like to hire African American because they are lazy. Instead the boss preferred to hire Caribbean people instead who have better work ethic. Again this is what he told me. I can never forget it.

Some time ago i encountered a pro black group . The pro black group of pro blacks were asking for Dominicans, west Indians, Haitians, and Africans to go back home because they don't share the same experiences suffrage and do not fight along side black Americans, while at the same time reaping fruits of rewards in this country which are intended for black Americans.

You can say that again. The West Indians in particular often times think of themselves as superior and more educated. Funny thing is it was the Black Americans leading the way putting up with segregation to allow black people from other countries to do what they're doing, but never mind that.

I do t think NYC’s black population is well more educated. You do have middle class Black neighborhoods like Queens, but you have massive poverty in certain sections of the city.

You’re outright lying. I have never heard of African Americans asking any other group of Black people to go home. Now you’re down to outright trolling.

Civil rights leaders like Malcolm X, Marcus Garvey, etc has West Indian heritage. Very famous Black member of Congress Charlie Rangel is Puerto Rican. Lots of Black Latinos and West Indians were part of civil rights.
