Whenever they actually get a hold on the whole gang issue thats been going on for longer then we have all been alive then maybe some of the senseless murders will stop. But its a society issue. Too many single moms out there. Too many people reproducing with those they shouldn't who leave them alone, struggling and not able to be active parents. Which turns into the kids seeking attention, love and approval in their peers and joining gangs.

Human beings need to belong to something

Family

Church

Gang

Ppl like to feel that they are part of something!

If you dont have family, ppl go join one or the other

Both crap IMO

Churches in the hood left and right, hood still poor as ever

Everybody leaves service and goes to their project building and stands in the pissy ass elevator after service

Gangs in the hood left and right, hood still poor as ever

And you get videos like that

Ppl need to reprogram their brains!

Ppl say they woke, but they still walking outside in pajamas! So to speak.

Stop and frisk resulted into too many lawsuits. The nypd was getting sued every other day, if the nypd was filled with cops with higher IQs. They could have kept it going

Nah, they won't care so much about crime in the Bronx, and the areas that many of these people stick too are comparatively low crime.

If it spreads to Manhattan and northern Brooklyn, all bets are off.

Nah. It won't. The police protect valuable areas. If certain people step outside the areas they are consigned to, the cops will take them down.

This is no threat to gentrification or tourism. However gentrification likely has made places like the Bronx WORSE as poor people pushed out of other parts of the city concentrate there.

As of May YTD, only one murder in Bushwick this year, and only one murder in ENY. Gentrification success stories.

Not so much the case for Central Brookyn. Bed-Stuy had 9, Brownsville had 8, and Crown Heights had 6.
