That question is not answerable unless you give details on what you're looking for, like -- how big is your monthly budget for an apartment (max should be your gross salary divided by 40), are you able to provide proof of your salary to a landlord, what kind of housing are you looking for (house or apartment), do you need to park a car, where do you need to commute to, what kind of amenities do you need nearby, are you ok with a bus to train commute or do you need to be near a train, etc.

Maybe you can look at some other threads and see what kinds of details people give when they pose a question like this.

I second this although in general one can say that certain neighborhoods are better such as Forest Hills, Forest Hills Gardens and Rego Park for example have no real bad areas.
