...after deadly traffic incident in Whitestone.

https://qns.com/story/2018/07/02/dea...enior-drivers/

"The call comes in the wake of the June 25 collision that killed Madeline Sershen, a 17-year-old who attended St. Francis Prep in Fresh Meadows. Sershen was crossing Utopia Parkway with the walk light in her favor when she was struck by a 2005 Toyota Corolla driven by 88-year-old Sheila Kahn Prager, who police said ignored a steady red light".

I think this is a good idea. What say you.

I think this is a great idea. It's better for everyone. And if a senior driver can not pass the test, then there should be some kind of system ready to help them make the transition to not driving.

What are the issues? Maybe you can help design a better road test.

driving way below the speed limit because they are afraid for one thing . their reaction time in emergency's can be another . many don't remember the rules like keep to the right on a highway when you drive slow .

sometimes they tend to have lack of focus under certain driving conditions .

for the number of miles driven as a group , older seniors have a high rate of accidents or they cause others to do dangerous things to avoid them or get around them .

i know quite a few seniors who are driving in their 90's . the problem is they are fine until they aren't . then something shifts in them either mentally or physically on a dime and they crash or hit the gas instead of the brake ..
