LOL! Certainly not.

But I do miss that old bar at the top of the steps. You could sink a few with a full view of everything. Great place to people watch and keep an eye on when your train was departing.

LOL I confess that I thought that blue color was cheezy when they first restored everything, I was shocked to find out it was the original color.

Yes! My bf and I went to the Grand Central Tour and the tour guy spoke about that. Image the whole ceiling at some point all darken from the smoke

Nice thread never knew this. The building is a great piece of old NYC architecture. There is also the whispering galleey and the secret track 61 that used to run from the Waldorf Astoria which is or was considered part of the complex.

I remember how tickled I was when someone showed me how to get underground to 45th near Madison.
