Hello,

I wanted to know, how long does HDC take to process the application? Does it mean that I am approved if it has been sent to HDC? I haven't viewed the apartment yet but my case manager told me that my application has been sent out to HDC. Getting a little anxious, but I hope everything is going to go well.

You can call HPD after a week. It usually takes 3-5 business days. Mine took 2 weeks. Call HPD and ask them. My agent told me that my papers are being sent to HPD on the 7th, when I called the HPD on the 15th, they said they received the files on the 13th. So sometimes the management holds on to your papers for a few days after your certification.

Also, if your files is sent to HPD it's pretty much a done deal. The only reason they might deny is if the management made a significant mistake or any statement is not true. Otherwise, you're almost there. Congrats!!!
