I don’t necessarily agree with that. Yes if you were interviewed and you qualify there should be space for you but some how that doesn’t happen. I have interviewed with this management company several times and have been placed on a waiting list each time. Again the last time was a mistake on their behalf but since they had already gave the apartment away I was placed on a waiting list. Overall I would say with these lottery apartments it’s a hit or miss. Just because you were interviewed or found eligible does not mean they will give you a apartment. As you and needthatapt said there are hundreds of files they must go through and limited amount of apartments so a lot of people are being called in and leaving there personal documents with these people in the hopes of getting a apartment but will most likely be placed on a waiting list. Not to discourage anyone but this has been my experience. For me to have interviewed in July and I have a preference you would think I would have been told something by now but I’ve heard nothing from them. So I reached out and was told I might be placed on a waiting list but for what reason?! I wasn’t given one.

You are correct about the time frame if you were denied, usually in two weeks they will tell you.

Exactly! It is definitely a red flag! It doesnít make sense to interview 20x the amount of apartments. I have number 800 with a preference.

You're absolutely right. I can only speak from my personal experience. I'm sorry you've had such a terrible experience. Every interview I've had I was offered an apartment but I also didn't give the an opportunity to overlook me. Prestige management is slow with everything and they have been behind due to building issues. Good luck to you. Maybe you could just show up to the office on 145th st.
