Crime stats are comparable to last year except for rapes, which may just be people being more empowered to report it.

I am all for getting mad if crime goes up, but the stats aren't really backing up that claim.

I guess we could go back to the 90's with the kill counter in the Daily News.

Do you want Big Brother to baby all adults? Big Brother to monitor everyone? Stop asking for Deblasio to make "adults" behave. The issue comes down to parenting. People that have no business having kids are having a lot of them. Watch the movie Idiocracy.
lol@self responsibility. De Blasio is giving out handouts left and right so that people who have no business having kids can keep having them.

One more today in Staten Island, although it's not clear if the death is related to the shooting or the subsequent car crash. https://pix11.com/2018/07/10/vehicle...east-1-person/

-------------------------------------------------

ST. GEORGE, Staten Island — Emergency crews descended on a Staten Island neighborhood Tuesday because a shooting near a courthouse and a crash in which a van slammed into a bed-and-breakfast, and, nearby and soon after, another shooting critically injured someone, officials said.

A van crashed into a home near a Staten Island courthouse on July 10, 2018. (AIR11)

The string of incidents, which are not confirmed to be related, began around 11:45 a.m. when police said there was an altercation and shots fired at St. George Theater.

Gunshots were then reported less than a block away in the vicinity of the Richmond County Courthouse, police said.

Not long after, a van careened into a B&B at Montgomery Avenue and Fort Place, down the street from the courthouse, police said.

A man, 26, has died, police said. Additional information on how and where the man died was not immediately available.

Why would he hold a press conference about 3 shootings? That's a somewhat normal thing for a hot summer day

It's only going to get worse, I'm expecting an accelerated snowball effect. Murders, rapes, break ins, vandalism, assaults etc should really start to pick up. The only question is will the socialist/liberal crowd swallow their pride and elect someone competent to fix the situation or will they just sign up for another 5 years with the next bozo

We need to be pushing birth control and education about how much time and energy having a kid when you're not even close to financially independent takes. That's a handout I'm more than happy to support.
