That sink looked disgusting anyway... My sink has a stopper that can be removed. I only take it out when I'm going to shave to avoid having it junked up with facial hair.
And here we are moaning about water bugs.....*LOL*
Oh, blech! I should've known better than to click on the link. I didn't need to see the pictures. Now I'm looking at my bathroom sink to see if I have that drainage stoppage thing.
Yeah, that was pretty gross! But I don't know if i'd prefer that to waterbugs. A waterbug coming out of the sink is not necessarily a pretty picture either!
I bet it was planted there just to go viral online!!
Not a bit of it; Bedford- Stuyvesant, Williamsburg, Greenpoint etc... are all high on the rat "activity/report" list. Yet people continue to move into basement and or ground floor apartments in old buildings.
Plumbing code for NYC like most urban areas requires screens on drains leading from sewers to toilets (to prevent rats from coming up that way), but depending upon when a home was built, maintained and so forth there could be issues with other drains. Things like torn or whatever screens, busted/cracked pipes, things not having been done right way in first place....
One sure fact; if there was an "baby" rat, that means it has siblings and a mother down that drain/somewhere in structure. This and there likely are more, many more as rats tend to live in groups.
It is amazing what transplants, hipsters, or whatever will put up with just to live in a certain area.
