We used to get deliveries from the seltzer man once a week. You were supposed to return the bottles but a sibling held on to one and took it out of state when relocating. It's in the living room.

How often do you check the bottled date? Some of the bottled stuff is old water.

I usually get mine from Whole Foods, but you're right they can be old. There was a supermarket that I once checked the expiration date on because the had Perrier glass bottles, but with an older design, so I knew they were old, but the expiration date was fine so I bought them. I generally don't check with Whole Foods because their sparkling water sells out quickly (but for things like milk or dairy I always check), so they have to re-stock, and I stop by a few times a week, so unless they find some old expired stuff somewhere, it's unlikely for me buy expired water there. When they're out of product, you usually know because it won't be available at several stores. I will say that outside of Perrier, the 365 sparkling flavored water is so refreshing. It's GMO free "Made in Italy" and the Strawberry and Raspberry with Lemon are fantastic. Then again, personally I find European sparkling water to be better than the local stuff, so this Brooklyn Seltzer place must be doing something right. I used to drink only Perrier, San Pellegrino, Badoit and Voss, but I've been doing the 365 sparkling water a lot more. $1.99 a bottle versus $3.39 for a Voss sparking water bottle.

That is weird that water is now labeled GMO-free. What I usually get is "sparkling water" not seltzer, if there is a difference. Tonic is different. I just like plain sparkling water with no flavor. The sparkling water in Europe must taste better just because you are in Europe. It's just a different water source. It could be water sourced from Switzerland which is rated some of the best in the world.
You hear all this talk about NYC having clean water but Brooklyn is not exactly a pristine environment like how I'd envision the Swiss Alps. Think Gowanus Canal.
I despise water in plastic bottles, I can always taste the carcinogenic poisons.
