Saving grace in all this is that egit will be gone in three years as will nearly all of entire current city council and speaker. Hopefully we can get people with some sense to replace some or at least all.

I don't get why we aren't keeping rikers as a jail and why we are wasting all this money building new ones. People around the world will want to commit crimes in NYC once these jails are built. You get a cell with a view in a nice high rise
What they do with Rikers? Make it like City Island with another awesome seafood joint, hooray.
