Here is some info to clarify any confusion regarding the many areas that make up Harlem.
Harlem stretches from the East River to the Hudson River between 155th Street—where it meets Washington Heights—to a ragged border along the south. Central Harlem begins at 110th Street, at the northern boundary of Central Park; Spanish Harlem extends east Harlem's boundaries south to 96th Street, while in the west it begins north of Upper West Side, which gives an irregular border west of Morningside Avenue. Harlem's boundaries have changed over the years; as Ralph Ellison observed: "Wherever Negroes live uptown is considered Harlem."
The neighborhood contains a number of smaller, cohesive districts. The following are some examples:
West Harlem (west of St. Nicholas Avenue and north of 123rd Street)
Hamilton Heights, around the Hamilton Grange
Manhattanville, north of Morningside Heights
Central Harlem
Mount Morris, extending west from Marcus Garvey Park
Strivers' Row, centered on 139th Street
Sugar Hill
Astor Row, centered on 130th Street
East Harlem (east of Fifth Avenue)
Spanish Harlem, south of 116th Street

ok so according to your list, east harlem is anything east of 5th avenue, which makes the east side of 5th avenue east harlem, which is where lincoln is located on east 135th and 5th avenue, which is what i said previously. good breakdown.

I think the Coogans Bluff area would still be considered Harlem. that 155 st border is not an exact straight line

technically yes. cause they're all north of 155th. even colonial park houses is on 160th street and even though they're associated with harlem, its technically washington heights because harlem ends at 155th.

Yeah because the above are always assoicalted with Harlem. Probably since Harlem is "where all the projects are at". Where are ST Nick houses located again?

You mean where the guy had an adult lion in his bedroom and the tenants didn't call management regarding the noise and urination that seeped through to the lower apartment? 127-131 Douglas-Powell A REAL ZOO! Not considered the Heights.
