Gas vs. Electric stove.
No gas line does not inevitably mean electric stove.
An electric stove requires a high amperage 220 Line.
If one is not there the expense of rewiring is quite high.

I was happy to be jarred into thinking about STOVES. For some stupid reason I thought I had a 36 inch range and I went to measure to see for sure: It is a 30 incher, more common. So I am ready when I need my replacement, although gas stoves do seem to last forever.
